It's sad to say, but our back tree was rotted through and the one in the front was totally unruly and nearing the end of its life span. I must admit, I did cry a few tears at the prospect of cutting them down, but Chris assures me we will re-plant and our yard will be shady and beautiful once again. As for now, our struggling grass is getting accustomed to the sunshine!
